Michalis Moraitis is a founding and Board Member of the Euro.Digital association in Brussels (representing seventeen countries), Board Member of European CIO Association in Brussels, Founding Member and Vice President of the Hellenic CIO FORUM, and the President of the Hellenic Institute of Informatics & Communication of the Hellenic Management Association (EEDE).
In addition, he is a board member of the Hellenic Management Association (EEDE), Member of EDEVE, and Board member of ITSMF Organization in Greece.
He has more than thirty-five years of experience as an executive in Greek and Global IT market, and a proven ability to meet key targets and architect business transformation and optimization initiatives targeting of turning-around operationally troubled organizations or Digital Transformation.
He has handled successfully many multimillion flagship and complex projects and has been awarded numerous distinctions and prizes for his work and community contribution.
Currently he is Managing Partner of Actus Valida and of Humanus Capitis, a highly specialized Consulting Firm in Business and IT transformation, in a Global environment.
He also possesses extensive knowledge of IT/IS and large-scale projects and is considered a Doer and a Visionary CIO in terms of digital transformation and Strategic Planning.
He has held various executive positions in the consulting sector with Andersen Consulting/ Accenture and Ernst & Young, while also serving extensively in the commercial sector (automotive, retail and wholesale, ecommerce, apparel, healthcare, and services) with organizations such as Nissan, Yokohama Tires, Deutz Fahr Greece, European Union Insurance SA, Hygeia Hospital, koolfly.com, Digibridge GmbH., The Euro CIO Association (Brussels) etc.
In addition, he is a columnist and author of many professional articles in Digital Transformation, Strategic IT, Business Development, Compliance etc., and a frequent Global Conference Speaker and Panel Moderator in Business and Technology Conferences and events.
Michalis Moraitis has held in the past, the position of professor at the University of Indianapolis and as well as to other International Universities and Institutions.
He is also a member of the Judging Committee of Business IT Excellence Awards, e-Volution Awards, Tourism Awards, etc.
He is married with twin daughters.
