Harris Antoniou, corporate member and treasurer of the Board of Directors of the NGO Node: Networks of Global Hellenism, is the founder and CEO of Neptune Maritime Leasing Ltd, whose main shareholder is Costamare Inc and the Latsco Family Office.

Additionally, through the investment firm Codrus Capital AG, he actively invests in and advises start-ups operating in renewable energy, technology, financial services, and fixed assets. He is an investor and board member of Natech SA Financial Software.

For the past 25 years, he has held various management positions in leading organizations such as CEO of Amsterdam Trade Bank, Chairman and CEO of the AMCI group with investments in commodities, goods, and shipping, as well as General Manager for Energy, Commodities, and Transportation and member of the Management Team of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. As a partner and board member of Advent Technologies Inc., he has recently contributed to the private equity fundraising and the company’s listing on Nasdaq.

He was one of the founders of the Poseidon Principles, a supporter of the United World Colleges in the Netherlands, and a member of Abundance 360.

Prior to joining Cisco he has worked for InfoQuest, Altec, Unicom, in several positions responsible for sales goals.

He was honored with the “Manager’s Excellence Award’’ in 2022 and in 2018, “Cisco Channel Account manager of the year for EMEAR’’ in 2003 and, “Channel Account Manager of the year for Greece’’ in 1999.

Nikos has studied Electrical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and graduated from the Post Graduate in Business Administration programme of the Hellenic Management Association (EFQM, EFDM).

Epaminondas Christofilopoulos is the chairholder of the UNESCO Chair on Futures Research, hosted at FORTH and President of the Metropolitan Organization of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (MOMus). He is an Onassis Foundation Fellow and holds a PhD in Strategic Foresight, while his academic profile also includes studies in Physics (BSc), Environment (MSc) and International Relations.  He has initially worked in the fields of technology transfer and international research cooperation, coordinating many projects in Europe, Latin America, Asia and especially China for over a decade.

He has been working in the field of futures research since 2010, designing and implementing a variety of projects on topics such as the future of innovation, technology, work, urban farming and China, to mention a few, while he has served as the Chief Scientific Officer for Foresight at the Prime Minister’s Office (2021-2023). He has published monographs and peer-reviewed articles in the main futures journals, chapters in several books and curated two books published in Greece. In collaboration with UNESCO, he is supporting the concept of Futures Literacy and designs experiential workshops for students and organizational executives. Finally, he is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Foresight Europe Network and Planning Committee member of the Millennium Project, a global think tank based in Washington DC. Since 2023, Epaminondas is member of ESIR, a high-level expert group that provides evidence-based policy advice to the Commission on how to develop a forward-looking and transformative research and innovation policy.

Giuseppe Fico is Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and serves as the Coordinator of the Health Area within the Life Supporting Technologies group at UPM. Additionally, he is an affiliated researcher at the Group of Surgical Research Innovation and a member of the research commission at the Health Research Institute of the Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid, Spain.

He is lecturer of courses in Biomedical Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering at UPM, covering topics such as Clinical Engineering, Telemedicine, Electronic Healthcare Records, and Human-Machine Interaction.

He is President-Elect of the European Alliance of Medical and Biological Engineering Society. He actively contributes to the Digital Health Division and collaborates with the Health Technology Assessment Division and Clinical Engineering Division of the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering. In his capacity as Technical Manager, Giuseppe oversees Large Scale Pilots funded by the EC to demonstrate the impact of AI, 5G, IoT, and Robotics on future hospitals (ODIN), develop digital health services for chronic disease management and prevention (GATEKEEPER), and promote independent living (ACTIVAGE).
He coordinates the Innovative Health Initiative BEAMER and IMPROVE projects, fostering collaborations with pharmaceutical, medtech, and biotech industries to enhance treatment adherence and utilize PREMs and PROMs for improved health and social care outcomes.

He is also the initiator of strategic cooperation frameworks between the LifeSTech research group and relevant private and public healthcare institutions.

Prof. Dimitrios I. Fotiadis (Male), received the Diploma degree in chemical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, and the Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering and materials science from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

He is currently a Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Depart. of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece, Director of MEDlab, Affiliated Member of BRI-FORTH and the co-founder of PD Neurotechnology Ltd, UK.

He was a Visiting Researcher at the RWTH, Aachen, Germany, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston.

He has coordinated and participated in more than 250 R&D funded projects. He is the author or coauthor of more than 400 papers in scientific journals, 600 papers in peer-reviewed conference proceedings, and more than 50 chapters in books.

He is also the author/editor of 30 books. His work has received more than 28,000 citations (h-index=75).

He is a IEEE EMBS Fellow, EAMBES Fellow, Fellow of the IAMBE, Fellow of the AIAA, member of the IEEE TC of BHI, EiC of IEEE JBHI and of the EB in IEEE RBME, AE for IEEE OJEMB.

His research interests include multiscale modelling of human tissues and organs, intelligent wearable/implantable devices for automated diagnosis, processing of big medical data, machine learning, sensor informatics, image informatics, and bioinformatics.

He is the recipient of many scientific awards including the one by the Academy of Athens.

He joined Dialog as a Program Manager in 2015 and previously was Product Development Director at the Citrix R&D Center for about 2 years and CEO at Analogies, a University of Patras spin-off for 7 years.

Prior, he served for about 7 years at Intel in several engineering, marketing, and management roles, with the last as Strategic Marketing Manager.

He came into GiGA when it acquired in 1999, his co-founded back in 1992 startup, Synergy Systems.

Since 2018, he has founded bio3Dvet (www.bio3dvet.com) a startup where through biomechanics, digital engineering and 3D printing he applies innovative solutions in veterinary science.

The proposed solutions focus on patient-specific surgical guides, customized implants (Ti-6Al-4V and PEEK), 3D anatomical models and veterinary orthotic and prosthetic devices.

Since 2018, he has been studying at the Department of Architects and Engineers at the University of Ioannina.

Professor George K. Matsopoulos was born in Ioannina in 1965.

He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens in 1989.

He received his M.Sc. in Biomechanics in 1990 from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.

He also obtained his Ph.D. from Bioengineering Unit & the Electrical Engineering Department from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, in 1993.

From 1996 to 2008, he was Researcher within the Institute of Communication and computer Systems.

In 2008, he was appointed to a faculty position as Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, and in 2018 he was elected Professor in the same School.

Since 2016, he is the Director of the “Biomedical Optics and Applied Biophysics” Laboratory and from 2022, he is also the Director of the “Biomedical Technology” Laboratory within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

He has extensive experience in teaching Undergraduate Courses in Biomedical Engineering within the Schools of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and School of Applied Mathematical and Physics Science of the NTUA as well as graduate courses in the Master’s Program of the same faculty, in the Interdepartmental Master’s Program (MPS) ” Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine ” and “Techno-Economic Systems” of the NTUA and the Interdepartmental Master’s Programs in Biomedicine (Medical School of Athens and Medical School of Thessaloniki).

Prof. G.K. Matsopoulos has supervised 15 completed and 15 ongoing Doctoral Dissertations (Ph.D.). and over 300 undergraduate and graduate students.

Prof. G.K. Matsopoulos has published over 180 research articles and book chapters and more than 200 papers in international and national conference proceedings.

Prof. G.K. Matsopoulos has more than 20 years’ experience in participating, coordinating and implementing various research European and National projects related to the Biomedical Engineering.

Dr. Papagiannis Georgios completed his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2005.

His graduate work at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, United Kingdom centered at the area of Rehabilitation Biomechanics where he was granted the title Master of Science in Applied Biomechanics (2007).

At Karolinska Institutet Dr. Papagiannis concentrated in the postgraduate education of neuroscience (2008).

Dr. Papagiannis has completed his PhD and Postdoctoral studies in Orthopaedics at the faculty of medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece (2017).

Since November 2011 serves as Scientific Consultant the biomechanics and gait analysis laboratory “Sylvia Ioannou”,(1st Department of Orthopaedics-NKUA), where he teaches the lessons «Exercise Physiology – Therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation», «physiotherapy assessment» and «Rehabilitation Protocols»at the Master of Science program “Health and Exercise”.

Dr. Papagiannis was Academic Fellow (2019-2021) at the University of West Attica where he taught musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

He was elected Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy as well as Director of Biomechanics Research Laboratory at the University of the Peloponnese at 2021.

His research and clinical interest focuses at the biomechanics and rehabilitation of hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasties as well as spine disorders.

Dimitris Papastergiou was born in 1973 in Trikala.

He graduated from the Polycladic Lyceum of Trikala and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA (National Technical University of Athens).

At the same time, he attended journalism courses, while he maintains strong ties with technology and the internet, a relationship that was strengthened at the Multimedia Laboratory of NTUA.

In 2001 he built and presented, together with a group of his colleagues, the first integrated website for the Prefecture of Trikala, 3kala.gr.

Since 2002 he has been practicing the profession of Electrical and Computer Engineer in the city of Trikala.

He was involved in studies and construction of private electromechanical projects and the creation of software programs.

In 2007 he entered the field of renewable energy and has constructed more than 300 private renewable energy projects.

His involvement in the community began in 2002, with his election to the City Council.

He was re-elected in 2006, and in 2014 he was elected Mayor of Trikkaion and member of the Board of Directors of KEDE.

He was re-elected Mayor in 2019 and, in the same year, he was elected President of the KEDE.

He is married to the engineer Soula Brakis and is the happy father of Faye, Kostas and Nikos.

From June 2023, he is Minister of Digital Governance in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

He is an honorary academic member at the University of New South Wales, Australia.

He studied Architecture and Media at NTUA, UCLA and MIT.

He explores innovative ways of creative thinking in Architecture through interdisciplinary synergies and experimental methods of spatial design. Since 2004 he has taught at Universities in Greece, Australia, Cyprus, and Germany.

His academic and design research work is internationally recognised, and he has over eighty research outputs.

His book Machine and Network as Structural Models in Architecture (Epikentro Publishers) is offered as an academic textbook in Greece and Cyprus.
