Dimitris Papanikolaou

Assistant Professor, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) School of Architecture, Founder/Director, Urban Synergetics Lab

Dimitris Papanikolaou is an architect, engineer and Assistant Professor at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with an expertise in the application of information and communication technology in the perception, use and management of architectural and urban space.

He has been an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte between the School of Architecture and the Department of Informatics and he is the founding director of the Urban Synergetics Lab that develops enabling technologies that connect people, objects and places into ecosystems of cooperative action.

He holds a Doctor of Design (DDes) degree from Harvard University, two MSc degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a Diploma in Architectural Engineering from NTUA.
